Overview:

Jarvis is seeking to add to its Operations Department with a Quality Technician. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work directly and indirectly with customers and manufacturing to fulfill the customer needs. This role requires an individual that is task-focused, detailed oriented, has the ability to communicate with various groups and eager to contribute in producing highly precise, quality work. The ideal candidate also has project management skills to handle projects of various sizes. You will be filling an essential role for the Jarvis Team!

Primary responsibilities are:

• Support the Manufacturing team by identifying and working process improvements, the analysis of quality problems driving root cause and corrective action to prevent future issues
• Calibrate and maintain test and measurement equipment and the calibration system. Ensure equipment is calibrated in a timely fashion. Resolve any out of calibration issues

• Support ISO projects and compliance
• Maintain and analyze manufacturing scrap
• Perform product and process audits, resolve corrective actions and document control duties
• Work closely with internal engineers, account managers and external customers

Basic Skills:

The primary skill is superior problem solving abilities. The individual must be able to design experiments, collect data, analyze data and implement improvements. DOE, Six Sigma and other statistical methods are essential skills.

This individual is responsible for the implementation of improvements. The implementation requires this individual to work with both our vendors and Jarvis personnel. Good communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills are required.

Technical Skills:

This individual should have experience in the following areas:

• Calibration
• Inspection
• Statistics

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• 3 - 5 year quality or manufacturing experience
• Excellent computer skills
• Microsoft Office
• Minitab
• Must be neat and presentable

• ISO 9000 experience preferred
