Summary:

The Quality Specialist assures Company standards are maintained by tracking and maintaining reporting mechanisms. Communicates information to Suppliers as well and Customers or internal end users.

Essential Duites/Responsabilités:

  • Analytical and Problem solving skills to investigate problematic issues relating to incoming and outgoing product.
  • Communicate proficiently with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and maintain supplier scorecards and Key Performance indicators including Scrap.
  • Return of non-conforming material (issue RMA’s using Company software)
  • Debits and Credits adjustments for Supplier chargebacks.
  • Work with internal departments for inventory adjustments and disposition.
  • Function as an information source to Manager and other departments,
  • Supplier and Customer contact.
  • Auditing of production processes on a regular or occasional basis.
  • Generate reports for Management review using Excel or Microsoft office products.

Competency/Skills:

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and effectively using Microsoft office products, by email and phone.
  • Ability to thoroughly evaluate problematic issues and respond quickly using good judgement and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work in a Team.

None

Working Conditions:

Open door/cubicles office environment routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers.

Automotive Manufacturing related assembly only production environment.

Regular visits to the Production floor will be required and is not climate controlled.

Some flexibility in working hours is allowed on an as needed and approved basis.

Physical Effort:

Ability to walk, bend over, pick up assemblies or raw components weighing up to 35 lbs., without assistance and in a timely manner.

Visual ability to review and evaluate small parts

Ability to read and understand written correspondence in English.

Position:

Quality Specialist in the Quality Assurance Dept.

Travel:

Minimal travel is required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in Business or related field or 2+ years in QA or QC work experience equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance terms, tools and methodology in Automotive Manufacturing.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Certifications in the Automotive Quality field
  • Familiarity of QS/TS/IATF Automotive standards
