Beardsley Architects + Engineers is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer with the ability to provide full design services to our broad range of clients and diverse project types.  Candidates must be able to perform and oversee engineering evaluations and analysis, design drawings, technical specifications and cost estimates across all facets of structural engineering as it relates to building design for low to mid-rise structures.  Responsibilities include the supervision and mentoring of structural engineering design staff. Additionally, experience working with other disciplines including architects, mechanical, electrical and civil engineers is desired.

We are looking for team members with the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in Revit, RAM Structural System or STAAD design software.
• Strong technical background in design of building structural systems for government, education, housing and commercial development projects.
• Ability to prepare and oversee the preparation of contract documents, calculations and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of ASCE, ACI, AISI, AISC and IBC code requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and writing skills to maintain strong interaction with our clients and staff.
• Additional industry certifications and USGBC LEED AP accreditation are considered a plus.
• Applicants shall be a US Citizen and security background checks may be necessary based on client requirements.

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with PE in NYS is required.
• Minimum 10 years of project related experience in building superstructure and foundation design.
