Manager - Transportation Planning

| Collier County is seeking a Transportation Planning Manager in its Growth Management Department (GMD) Transportation Planning section. This position is critical in shaping the future transportation system for the County. This position develops, recommends, updates, and implements policies and procedures pertaining to transportation planning and implementation of transportation projects; develops and implements long and short term transportation plans; prepares major updates to roadway transportation plans; presents to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners; and provides oversight on various projects. Applicants for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning or closely related field; supplemented by five (5) years of progressively responsible previous experience and/or training that includes transportation planning, transportation engineering, long range planning, land development, project management, budget administration, personnel management, and general management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning or closely related field; supplemented by five (5) years of progressively responsible previous experience and/or training that includes transportation planning, transportation engineering, long range planning, land development, project management, budget administration, personnel management, and general management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsements and maintain eligibility requirements and endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805. Fingerprinting required. |
