Qualifications Include:

• At least ten years of experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory including the demonstrated ability to utilize principles and practices of quality improvement/system
• At least five years of experience in a supervisory/managerial position
• A master’s degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field or a master’s degree in health care administration, business administration, public administration, or related field with additional studies in a quality management related course
• A valid current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or limited specialist license
• Other skills/experience should include demonstrable knowledge of statistical tools of quality, techniques, or problem solving and improving work process, making presentations, and computer proficiency
• The ability to manage several projects simultaneously, complete projects efficiently and on deadline, sometimes with necessarily little lead-time and be influential and effective in both written and verbal communication skills (negotiation, listening, and collaboration)
• Demonstrated effectiveness in staff development, team building, conflict resolution and group interaction
• Experience at presenting
• Knowledge of federal, state, local, and accreditation agency regulations
• The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
