We are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Engineering group. The right person will provide civil design services, manage projects in the private and public sector and will actively participate in developing and growing our civil engineering services. We are an innovative engineering and environmental consulting firm with offices in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin with plans to expand into more markets. Our next project manager should have a strong knowledge of site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water supply systems and roadway design for residential, commercial and industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue and create business development opportunities.
• Manage direct reports and provide work to maintain billable utilization.
• Develop scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
• Prepare proposals and sell services to retain and obtain clients and manage projects for each element.
• Direct and review production of drawings by CAD technicians and engineers.
• Retain clients through quality services and effective communication, with efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably in a professional consulting firm.
• Professional engineer (PE) licensed in Illinois or demonstrates the ability to secure.
• Experience with direct supervision of staff is required.
• Experience in Microsoft office and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Experience in business development/client communications is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
