Clayton Home Building Group is actively searching for a Regional Operational Excellence Analyst to join the team in Maryville, TN.
Job Summary:
Regional Operational Excellence (OE) Analyst will help create an ongoing sustainable continuous improvement culture at each facility. The goal of the Regional OE Analysts will be to engage our Team Members which will help to reduce turnover, continue the “0” overtime culture we have established, measure our improvements and ultimately help us achieve our long-term plan of reaching a minimum of 400 floors per day. This additional support for our plants is needed to push past the already high level of performance achieved by each of our facilities to get us to the next level.
Job Functions:
- Facilitate a Process Improvement program at each Facility
- Work directly with plant management to identify and define specific opportunities for process improvement
- Assist each plant with measuring and documenting changes
- Report out on each plant’s performance using OE metrics to allow plant to plant comparison
- Support Gateway Program Training and Coordination
- Provide training on Gateway program and support new tools that will be rolling out
- Support Development of Absolutes of Craftmanship (AOC’s) at each plant and help the plant to keep them updated
- Provide a regular report on each facilities gateway performance.
- Establish baseline performance metrics for each plant to measure future changes and keep them updated as changes are made in a facility
- Train each facility on how to use the OE Tools such as Task Stacking, Skills Matrix and Root Cause Analysis
- Maintain Sub-Departmental Analysis for each area in our facilities
- Facilitate sharing of innovations between facilities
- Update and maintain OE Library with improved processes from each facility
- Process audits to ensure process improvements are maintained once they are implemented in a plant.
- Leadership Development – Possibility to develop into future Production Managers
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of plant operations and program management
- Develop relationships with plant personnel
Requirements and Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent experience; degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Industrial Engineering experience strongly preferred
- Experience with process change in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles
- Demonstrated Ability to “Think Outside the Box” and come up with new solutions to difficult problems
- Thorough Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and PEMC approach to problem solving
- Strong ability to develop reports using Microsoft Office software
- Self-Directed and organized
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Prefer Bi-lingual speaker but not required
