Dokken Engineering is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer Intern in our San Diego, CA office for the upcoming summer break and fall semester. The ideal candidate would work 30 to 40 hours a week through summer break and a minimum of 20 hours a week during fall semester. Remote working and/or “work-from-home” is not an option for this internship.

The Water Resources group role is to design drainage and stormwater management solutions for transportation and land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Support production of construction plans and estimates
• Support production of drainage and stormwater quality reports
• Prepare exhibits for meetings and sub-consultant coordination

• Working towards a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, graduating in 2022 or 2023 preferred
• Knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and transportation engineering is preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Microstation is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office software is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• Ability to work in a team environment
