The City of Spokane is hiring a Senior Traffic Operations Engineer to focus on signal timing, design of traffic control devices, geometric design, traffic control plans, and project plan reviews. This engineer will be City of Spokane's representative on the Spokane Regional Transportation Management Center's (SRTMC) Operating Board.   EXAMPLES OF JOB FUNCTIONS: Traffic Signal Operations and Timings - Optimizes traffic computer systems and resolves malfunctions and programming errors. Supervises and coordinates with Street Department Traffic Engineering staff for the collection of turning movement volumes. investigates citizen inquiries and directs signal maintenance technicians to adjust the signal operations.
