								<description>Nyack, New York,  DRPILLA is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Project Engineer to join our structural team in our Nyack, NY office. The role involves all phases of structural project development, including analysis, design, modeling, construction documents, and technical reports. Engineers work on complex building systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from schools and healthcare facilities to commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

 As a Mid-Level Structural Engineer, you will be entrusted with substantial project responsibility and play a key role in driving successful project outcomes. This position provides the opportunity to apply technical expertise in structural engineering and design while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interfacing directly with clients. The role is well suited for engineers seeking professional growth within a dynamic and design-focused environment.

 RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
 
 Coordinate project plans, design calculations, and specifications, and lead coordination with other design disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering services. 
 
 Attend meetings and site visits with clients as a representative of the firm. 
 Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and identify structural deficiencies. 
 Perform condition assessments, load ratings, schematic designs and prepare written reports to summarize investigation results. 
 Communicate with clients to understand project requirements. 
 Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements. 
 Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes. 
 Manage project design and deliverables. 
 
 
 
 
 QUALIFICATIONS 
 
 
 Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master&#8217;s degree a plus) 
 
 5+ years of experience in Structural Engineering 
 NY PE required 
 
 Ability to manage projects and clients, delegate tasks, and mentor technical staff 
 
 Understanding and application of code requirements 
 Experience in using various structural analysis software 
 Strong written and verbal communication skills 
 Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines 
 AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus

 Work Location &#38; Schedule 
 
 In person (Nyack, NY) 
 Full-time, in-office position 
 Typical office hours are 8:30 AM &#8211; 5:30 PM, with occasional flexibility as project needs allow

 Senior municipal leadership opportunity overseeing traffic engineering, transportation planning, and traffic control systems 
 The City is seeking an experienced transportation engineering professional to serve as Deputy Commissioner of Parking II.&#xa0; This senior leadership role assists in directing the operations of the Parking Department and oversees the City&#8217;s traffic engineering, transportation planning, and traffic control systems.  
 Position Overview 
 Under general direction, the Deputy Commissioner supports the management and strategic initiatives of the Parking Department with primary responsibility for transportation engineering and traffic operations.  
 The position is responsible for planning and implementing traffic control systems, conducting traffic engineering studies and transportation analysis, reviewing development proposals and roadway improvement plans, and advising City leadership on traffic safety and mobility matters. 
 The Deputy Commissioner also supervises professional, technical, maintenance, and administrative staff and coordinates transportation initiatives with City departments and boards. 
 The position assists with the preparation and administration of the transportation budget and supports the development of modern traffic management systems. 
 This role plays an important part in maintaining the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the City. 
 Desirable Education and Experience 
 Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: 
 
  Master&#8217;s Degree in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, or Engineering and five (5) years of traffic engineering experience; or 
  Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, or Engineering and six (6) years of traffic engineering experience; or 
  An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above. 
 
 Note:&#xa0; Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification, preferred 
 Special Requirements: Possession of, or eligible for, a New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license 
 Valid New York State driver&#8217;s license
