We are looking for a knowledgeable and communicative professional to implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the Energy Management System (EMS), Power System Model, and Advanced Real-Time tools like State Estimation, Power Flow, and Contingency Analysis.
In this role, you will be responsible to maintain the dispatcher training simulator and perform maintenance of EMS Operating Systems in general, including Patching, testing, critical infrastructure Protection (CIP) Documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university;
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in transmission planning, transmission operations, energy management/SCADA systems and energy accounting and scheduling, programming and scripting using a high level language;

Job Purpose:
Implement, maintain and troubleshoot the Energy Management System (EMS), Power System Model and Advanced Real-time tools like State Estimation, Power Flow, and Contingency Analysis, Real-time database, Historical Information Systems (EMS and Pi), Load Shedding, Voltage Reduction, real-time displays, and scripts. Maintains the Dispatcher Training Simulator. Perform maintenance of EMS Operating Systems in general, including Patching, testing, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Documentation, etc.
Primary Functions:
Implement and maintain software related to the EMS Network Applications;
Maintain and enhances Open Access Technology International (OATI) software applications (Energy accounting and scheduling);
Troubleshoot general issues of the EMS as assigned;
Perform documentation as required by CIP standards;
Train EMS/OATI basic and advanced functions;
Provide support to the Operational Planning Group’s needs related to the Advanced Applications;
Design and implement custom EMS screens, script functions and calculations;
Maintain (Pi) Historian, Application Framework and Visualization System to ensure OUC Operations requirements are being met;
Attend training and study independently to develop skills and knowledge relating to EMS functions;
Perform operating systems administration and patching;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Requirements:

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM);
Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws;
Use and derive Electric Engineering Calculations;
Able to program using High Level Language;
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
Work well in a team atmosphere;
Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages;
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).
