This position is responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating components and processes used in the power generation, manipulation, transmission, distribution, and storage of electricity. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
IMPACT: Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas. Manages large projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of sub-family results.
COMPLEXITY: Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines. Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives.

LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Proficiency using AutoCAD / Microstation to create and edit engineering drawings
Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools
Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States
Eight years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial or government facility establishment, replacement and modernization design engineering
Current and relevant knowledge of building and other codes to perform load calculations, wiring sizing and layout, arc flash calculations and distribution, breaker coordination and equipment sizing and selection
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines through to completion
Ability to provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of punchlist items
Ability to conduct efficient, organized data gathering and data analysis
Ability to develop project plans, establish project schedules, project estimates
Ability to accomplish clear and concise general and technical writing and tactfully coordinate with variety of project stakeholders, peers and management levels
Ability to maintain an electronic project folder
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, engineering scheduling tools and applications, and be able to use theinternet as an information gathering tool
