 Provides executive level customer service for the department and addresses concerns from residents, businesses, other City departments, City Management, and City Council. 
 Manages staff responsible for Capital Improvement Programs related to City&#8217;s water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, natural gas distribution and municipal stormwater utility systems; using technical expertise and broad experience, provides direction, guidance and prioritization for key projects. 
 Ensures regulatory compliance is maintained for all four utilities; makes sure all necessary reporting is completed and submitted to appropriate governing authority in an accurate and timely manner. 
 Consults and collaborates with executive staff and senior departmental leadership and provides advice and counsel on complex management issues, organizational structure, feasibility and the potential impact of varying courses of action. 
 Manages and monitors annual action plans of department in support of Council&#8217;s strategic priorities. Ensures that departmental goals are incorporated into performance objectives and provides direction and oversight for quarterly progress reporting.

 Perform system checkouts, assist with system startups, and verify proper equipment operation. 
 Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and programming issues. 
 Train customers on system operation, maintenance, and performance adjustments. 
 Conduct water analyses, interpret results, conduct field testing to verify system performance and water quality. 
 Complete detailed service reports and documentation accurately and on time. 
 Maintain and calibrate test instruments and equipment. 
 Support the sales and engineering teams with site assessments and technical insights. 
 Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor in all customer interactions. 
 Organize and maintain tools, spare parts, and vehicle inventory. 
 Respond to emergency service calls, including occasional after-hours or weekend work. 
 Comply with company and customer site safety requirements. 
 Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred); equivalent experience considered. 
 Strong mechanical aptitude required able to learn electrical systems and programming PLC/VFD/HMI devices.

 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&#38;IDs. 
 Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.

 Provide technical guidance to operators while troubleshooting acute and chronic process issues to maintain manufacturing performance. 
 Analyze process variables, evaluate variation and controls, and lead root cause analysis of equipment and process failures in collaboration with leadership, engineering, and maintenance.
