								<description>Modesto, California,  The Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill one full-time regular vacancy to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the activities of the Electrical Engineering Department within the Transmission and Distribution Division including the development and management of transmission and distribution projects; to coordinate Electrical Engineering activities with other divisions and departments; and to provide highly complex staff assistance to the Assistant General Manager, Transmission and Distribution. The Electrical Engineering Manager reports directly to the Assistant General Manager, Transmission &#38; Distribution, and supervises professional and technical personnel. MID&#8217;s Transmission &#38; Distribution Division consists of approximately 140 employees in five (5) distinct supervisor/manager groups: Electrical Engineering Managers, Substation Supervisor, Metering Supervisor, Trouble Supervisor, and Line Construction Manager.&#xa0; Any Qualified Individual May Apply. &#xa0;This is an exempt position and is allocated to the Modesto Irrigation District Employees Association. The list established as a result of this recruitment may be used to fill other Electrical Engineering Manager vacancies that may occur within the District through February 4, 2027. 
 
 
 Examples of Duties 
 
 
 Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: 
 
 Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures. 
 Plan, organize and direct Electrical Engineering activities including the design, modification, construction and project management of electrical engineering projects related to the District&#39;s transmission and distribution system. 
 Direct, oversee and participate in the development of the Electrical Engineering work plan; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures. 
 Prepare the Electrical Engineering budget; assist in budget implementation; participate in the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; administer the approved budget. 
 Recommend the appointment of personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; conduct performance evaluations; implement discipline procedures as required; maintain discipline and high standards necessary for the efficient and professional operation of the Department. 
 Provide detailed and high level engineering oversight for projects related to the design and construction of transmission and distribution systems. 
 Evaluate and optimize current designs and develop standards for engineering design. 
 Review and approve the preparation of drawings, maps, reports, specifications, cost estimates and material evaluations to support the, operation of the District&#39;s electrical system. 
 Represent the department and division to outside agencies and organizations; participate in outside community and professional groups and committees; provide technical assistance as necessary. 
 Research and prepare technical and administrative reports; prepare written correspondence. 
 Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other District employees, outside agencies, and the public using principles of good customer service. 
 Perform related duties as assigned.

 Experience and Training 
 Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. &#xa0;A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: 
 Experience: &#xa0; Seven years of increasingly responsible experience in the project management of electrical engineering projects; including two years of supervisory responsibility. 
 Training: &#xa0; Equivalent to a Bachelor&#39;s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
 License and Certificate:&#xa0; Possession of a valid California class C driver&#39;s license at the time of appointment.  OVERVIEW 
 The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Specialist with the Facilities Services office. 
 The Engineering Specialist is a subject matter expert in electrical systems of building facilities. Working closely with project managers, architects and engineers, and facility management administrators, the incumbent will have broad knowledge and experience in electrical systems. Incumbent will review and advise on multiple new ground-up construction capital projects and facility modifications and act as a resource for providing technical assistance on projects during design and construction. The incumbent will support the Architecture and Engineering team in cross-disciplinary work.

 RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
 Implements electrical system codes, standards and guidelines. 
 Implements effective protocols and procedures for compliance to the JCC&#8217;s California Trial Court Facilities Standards for electrical systems. 
 Provides review of contracted design of electrical systems for multiple capital projects and facility modifications. 
 Advises project managers on technical aspects of electrical systems in capital or facility modification projects. 
 Reviews engineering designs and construction documentation. 
 Assists in contract management and administration. 
 Assists in drafting technical scope-of-work descriptions for RFQs/RFPs related to electrical work. 
 Under the guidance of A&#38;E Supervisor, supports the Architecture and Engineering team in cross-disciplinary work. 
 Provides support for setting up and tracking Bluebeam sessions and maintains records of comments and responses for project reviews. 
 
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree, preferably in a directly related field that would provide the knowledge and skills 
 necessary for technical facility and construction engineering. An additional four (4) years of 
 professional experience as noted above may substitute for the bachelor&#8217;s degree. Or, additional 
 directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

 Possession of a high school diploma or GED. Must have five years of progressively responsible experience in public works maintenance, concrete and asphalt, or any equivalent combination of training and experience, that provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
 
 Considerable knowledge of the maintenance methods and operating characteristics of equipment and tools used by public works maintenance workers. 
 Considerable knowledge of the operating hazards and safety precautions of equipment and tools used by public works maintenance workers. 
 Considerable knowledge of Evanston work rules and safety regulations. 
 Ability to lead, organize, instruct, and motivate employees. 
 Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in performing assigned duties. 
 Ability to record work performed and materials, supplies, or equipment used. 
 Ability to determine and set up the appropriate traffic control devices per the MUTCD. 
 Ability to use attendance and payroll software to record staff information. 
 Must possess or have the ability to complete NIMS Incident training, ICS100, ICS200,&#xa0;ICS700, and ICS800 within 6 months.

 We are looking for highly qualified and experienced Composite Technicians to join our growing team. The Composite Technician will be responsible for hand lay-up of composite materials, vacuum bagging process and procedures, and perform hand-finishing operations.

 Adhesive bonding applications
