								<description>Dover, New Hampshire,  Position Summary: The Quality Manager will report directly to the Machining Manager/Director, coordinates department activities and special projects. Directs staff in at location in accordance with good measuring practice using all inspection tools and, WI&#8217;s and Visual Aids. He or she will organize department work flow to meet production supports needs. Recommends equipment needs to facilitate inspection activities.&#xa0; Establishes processes to stream line work flow and inspection methods. Assist in maintaining WI&#8217;s and Control Plans to correlate to process or part changes, In this position expedient communication with the Machining Manager/Director, Co-Workers, QE&#8217;s and Management team is critical. This person will also be an active inspector as scheduling requires.&#xa0; Responsible for efficient first article inspection/problem resolution.&#xa0; Applies experience to perform root cause analysis and corrective action. Job Duties &#38; Responsibilities: *Direct inspectors, coordinate department inspection activities to support production and shipping needs. *Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis. *Provides inspection activity for product through production cycle. *Position inspectors to meet production and OSP inspection needs. *Provide training to the inspectors when needed. Coach and provide development advice to staff. *Will assist Management team with keeping all tooling, gaging, and working instructions up to date. *Directly supervises Quality Control Inspectors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&#39;s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. *Responsible for staff work assignments/rotation, employee training &#38; back-up absent employees.&#xa0; Recommends adjustments to staff among facilities to cover needs. *Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals. *Seeks and acts upon ways to improve daily work processes to enhance quality, productivity, and satisfy customer needs and expectations; looks for cost reduction and service improvements; eliminates unnecessary or low priority work; initiates and encourages others to resolve impediments and act on improvement opportunities. *Act as main communication point between inspectors/leads and operators. *Will identify problems and maintain constant communication with the QC Engineers and help finding the fix. *Assist with 5s sustainment activities. *Other duties as assigned. *Responsible for ability to perform all required Inspector Level 3 Tasks. &#xa0; &#xa0; Working Conditions: *Able to lift up to 25 pounds *Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.  The Quality Engineer II will support and interface with Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering personnel to support the establishment and implementation of effective process controls, geared toward risk mitigation. 
 Proactively monitor, analyze, report and participate in the improvement of process and product performance employing proven Six Sigma methodologies. 
 &#xa0;Lead failure analysis and corrective action efforts using complex problem solving methods to drive the development of technical solutions. 
 Manage product qualification, monthly testing and test report generation. 
 Review and verify applicable contractual/Customer requirements and ensure these are known and translated as warranted, into operational plans and test procedures. 
 Support through use of data analytics, the verifying and validating of process, methods and associated equipment capability. 
 Participate in the verification, validation and acceptance of proposed product design and process changes. As needed, participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming product. 
 As required, support the training, mentoring and coaching of lab and inspection personnel in the technical requirements of product. 
 Represents the organization when interfacing with Customers and their agents (DCMA) throughout the production phase of their programs. Assists in the conducting of internal audits of the Quality Management System. 
 
 Essential Functions:&#xa0; 
 
 Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. 
 Manage projects or processes with general supervision. 
 Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. 
 Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

 Basic Qualifications: 
 Bachelor&#8217;s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.</description>
