Supervising Engineer (Intelligent Transportation and Signal Operations)
THE POSITION The Supervising Engineer plays a critical role in advancing Sacramento’s traffic safety and mobility goals. With increasing political attention, new technical tools, and growing complexity in traffic safety, signal operations, and emerging technologies, this position ensures that the City provides timely, high-level engineering review and guidance. The Supervising Engineer leads the team responsible for traffic signal operations, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), telecommunications networks, signal related roadway safety improvements, and collaborates closely with asset management and maintenance of the traffic signal network.
