The Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Investigators addressing fundamentally important biological questions in any area of Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, or Genomics are encouraged to apply. Applicants with interest and expertise in imaging, quantitative biology, computational biology, multi-omics analyses or systems biology will be especially competitive.

Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active research program in their area of expertise and to support our commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree (PhD or MD) and at least two years of post-doctoral or equivalent experience. Exceptions to the required post-doctoral experience will be made for candidates holding graduate-to-faculty transition awards.
Desired: Applicants should have a strong record of research productivity, demonstrate the ability to develop a rigorous research program and be committed to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Department of Molecular Genetics is devoted to exploring questions in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and developmental biology using viruses, fungi, plants, and animals, with strengths in model organisms and genetic systems.
