The School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia invites applications for an open rank, tenure-track/tenured faculty position in Systems Engineering. Candidates are expected to contribute to a methodological area, such as, but not limited to: modeling and simulation, optimization and decision analysis, automation and control, data analytics and machine learning, systems thinking, operations research, human factors, and/or and human technology interaction. Ideal candidates should have a broad perspective on systems engineering theory and methodology, and be interested in collaborative research activities that complement those of our faculty. Our faculty work on engineering complex systems that span domains including healthcare, comme
