R.E. Carroll has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance/Compliance Manager to join our team right in Ewing NJ!!
This position has multi-site responsibility for directing and managing Quality Assurance and Compliance activities for the Ewing, NJ, Kent, OH, Dalton, GA, field personnel, and contracted services.
Establishes and maintains all health, environmental, safety, product safety, quality assurance, regulatory and Responsible Distribution programs and activities and assure that the organization complies with applicable laws, regulations and standards.
Incumbent is proactive in all areas that pertain to industrial hygiene, environmental control, regulatory compliance, product safety, employee safety, quality assurance, supplier quality matters and responsible distribution. These programs include but are not limited to such areas as the direct supervision of departmental personnel and facilities supervision, TSCA and other chemical control regulatory compliance, the development of safety data sheets and appropriate product warning labels.
This position is also responsible for supervising the maintenance of associated HESQA records involving such matters as waste management, quality systems-environmental management systems-responsible distribution systems, generation of reports for internal needs and governmental agencies, and technical assistance to other departments while maintaining in-depth knowledge of current and pending regulations.
Uses expertise to hire, coach, and lead department personnel to achieve company goals and career development and enrichment activities. Maintains focus on planning, resource scheduling, performance management, budget management, and administrative skills. The incumbent may be called upon by all levels of RE Carroll management and its employees for guidance related to HESQA issues.
Interfaces and communicates with various external customer management groups and assorted governmental agencies or regulatory groups.
Monitors, measures and reports on the effectiveness of the HESQA programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, or chemical science or Engineering and 8+ years experience with quality, health, safety, environmental, regulatory and operational related issues.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience and/or previous supervisory or technical experience.
- Minimum of 3 year of Quality, Health, Environmental, Regulatory and Safety experience
- Willing to engage in self-directed study of environmental, product safety and regulatory issues and be able to effectively address multiple projects within the specified time constraints
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees within the organization, customers, suppliers, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer skills in MS Office, database and graphical software is desirable.
- Ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards including honesty, integrity, dedication, and leadership.
