Wendel is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing team. The most successful candidate must be technically astute in Transportation and/or Highway Engineering and have a proven background in the development of transportation and/or highway projects. This role will often perform as a technical specialist or project Engineer on mid to large size transportation projects.

Responsibilities
Performs technical discipline tasks including research, report preparation, design, and specification/plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

  • Assists with business development activities, including meeting with clients.
  • Assists with preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 8+ years of progressive transportation design experience.
  • PE is a plus.
  • Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • General knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills.
