As a member of our elite Executive team you will have the opportunity to build and develop a team of professionals based in our Atlanta office. Working alongside our current team and with the support of our leadership, your focus will be to expand our practice in Georgia.
Essential Functions:
As a Transportation Leader in our Georgia office you will:
- Represent RK&K in front of existing and potential clients in Georgia on all aspects of design projects
- Work with our firm leadership and local team to develop a business strategy within Georgia
- Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and sub-consultant partners to pursue, win, and execute projects
- Identify and create project opportunities by networking with potential clients, primarily public utilities and related agencies
- Negotiate and manage project scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for a variety of projects
- Mentor staff by training employees, establishing personal growth opportunities and conducting performance evaluations
- Provide senior level engineering expertise on all projects ranging from conceptual engineering and feasibility studies, to detailed engineering designs, and preparation of construction specifications and contract documents

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Fifteen (15)+ years of experience in engineering services with progressive responsibilities including business development and project delivery in the State of Georgia (GA)
- Be highly engaged in professional engineering societies, regularly attending local meetings especially those with high levels of client participation
- Capacity to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually, including strong technical and proposal writing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in the State of Georgia
- Experience and relationships with GDOT and other associated agencies in the territory
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Business Administration or similar
- Project Management (PMP) certification
