Gevoto is a company located in Chengdu, China focusing on development of non-transgenic crops with herbicides tolerance.  Now we are expanding into GMP R&D for insect resistance, and seek a Director for this new unit.

 Responsibilities:

• Oversight of GMP product design, creation, evaluation and new gene discovery
• Team building and research directing
• Product promotion

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Excellent expertise in GMP R&D
• Familiar with global insect-resistant crops
• Knowledge in IP protection
• Proven record in biotech research and team leading
• Ability to appreciate different culture and working environment
• Eagerness to identify or create new technologies
• Good organizational skills with ability to manage time and budgets efficiently and effectively
• Chinese language is helpful but not a requirement

Qualifications:

• PhD in biotech, molecular biology or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in GMP R&D

Location, compensation and benefits:

• Work location at Chengdu, China
• Annual salary of 1 million Chinese Yuan and negotiable depending on qualifications
