Under administrative direction, assist with planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the activities of the Capital Delivery section of the Transit and Rail Programs Department; provides administrative oversight of day-to-day activities including the implementation and administration of Authority policies and programs and the establishment and enforcement of section policies and procedures; fosters cooperative working relationships among Authority departments, and with intergovernmental and regulatory agencies and various public and private groups; provides highly responsible and complex professional assistance to the Director of Transit and Rail Programs in areas of expertise; and performs related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Education: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience: Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in managing and administering delivery of large capital transit and rail projects, including three (3) years in a management or supervisory capacity.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Possession of or ability to obtain a California driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance by time of appointment.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer by the California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
- Position requires pre-employment background investigation, physical and drug test.
