Kaukauna Utilities located in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for an Electrical Engineering Co-Op Position within the Generation & Substation Department. Kaukauna Utilities is conveniently located between Green Bay and the Fox Valley. This position consists of 40 hours of work per week, during the summer and fall semester. Housing stipend may be considered to applicants who live outside a specified radius from the Utility.
Responsibilities include assisting the Generation & Substation Department by updating online drawings, modeling electrical systems, and performing arc flash analysis for each of the facilities owned by Kaukauna Utilities. This position will include field work collecting data from the electrical equipment in each plant. The position will also be introduced to the geographical information system (GIS), where the candidate will assist with updates on the electric distribution system.
Must be a minimum of a third-year electrical engineering student in good academic standing, from an accredited college
An emphasis in power and/or control systems is preferred
Experience with the following technologies is preferred, but not necessary:
Computer aided design (CAD) software
Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
Engineering Analysis software for power systems
