Summary of Position The Director of the Center of Business Analytics has the primary responsibility for building the Center as a vibrant hub for all activities related to business analytics in the Paul College and the university more broadly. The key functions of the Center are to foster a connected research community focused on both applied and basic analytics research problems. To develop, curate, and sustain relationships with industry partners; promote and support business analytics programs, tracks, courses, and certificates, as well as experiential learning opportunities for students. Provide a collaboration hub for students studying analytics. Collaborate with the Paul College Career and Professional Success team to cultivate internship and employment opportunities in business analytics for undergraduate and graduate students. The Director reports directly to the Dean of Paul College and is expected to collaborate closely with the part-time Faculty Director for the Business Analytics Initiative as well as department chairs and the Associate Deans.

Additional Job Information The Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire is launching a new Center for Business Analytics. The Center is a key component of a larger strategic initiative in Business Analytics that will strengthen and drive the expansion of research, educational programs, course offerings, student enrollment and engagement, and industry partnerships at Paul College. Our vision is that the Business Analytics Initiative will enable Paul College to grow as a valued and recognized contributor in the field of business analytics, both in the academy and in the world of practice.
The college currently offers a suite of educational programs that serve as the foundation for the Business Analytics Initiative.
The Center will bring together knowledge, experience, and perspectives of academics and industry professionals working in the field with the dual goals of 1) preparing students to meet the demand for talent in this rapidly evolving field; and 2) supporting businesses to create value through enhanced decision-making, problem-solving, and opportunity identification. Active collaboration between the academy and business is particularly important within the rapidly evolving field of business analytics.
