The City of Mattoon, Illinois is accepting applications for a new Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is an activated sludge facility rated for an average dry weather flow of 5.3 MGD, and a peak wet weather flow of 14 MGD. The staff includes 1 Lead Operator and 4 Operators. The plant is manned 10 hours/day, 7 days per week. The Superintendent has primary on-call responsibility after hours. The Lead Operator shares part of the on-call duty.
The requirements for this position are:
Illinois EPA Class 1 Certified Wastewater Treatment Operator
10 years of experience in the wastewater/water treatment industry
