R281 Engineer IV 31.80 - 37.30 per hour, plus benefits (Dependent on Experience and Qualification) There is one opening with the Yakima County Public Services, Water Resource Division. Positions serves as technical lead for complex Water Resources engineering projects providing senior level technical and professional expertise. Acts as the technical support person to Yakima County elected and senior staff officials on design of flood control and stormwater facilities at varying levels of detail (preliminary to final); Stormwater facilities; hydraulic, hydrologic and stormwater modeling; and managing contracts for consultants and project construction. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and four years of engineering experience including stormwater and flood control, OR a combination of related experience or training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Required: Valid WA State Driver’s License and proof of insurance (if requested), Professional Engineer Certification from an NCEES-compliant state and ability to obtain and maintain FAA drone certification (if necessary).
