Develop research proposals and conduct advanced scientific research in pavement engineering and accelerated pavement testing within the Accelerated Pavement Research Program at Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC).
Conduct scientific research in pavement engineering through utilizing advanced analytic/mathematical skills and laboratory materials/pavement testing tools in evaluating roadway performance for both flexible and rigid pavements.
Write research proposals and prepare technical reports and publications for dissemination of research results. Present findings in technical journals, conferences, and professional meetings.
Perform collaborative research with LTRC's Geotechnical & Pavement research group and/or Materials research group. Provide technical assistance to DOTD and LTRC to solve problems related to pavement performance and implement the findings of research results. Other duties as assigned
A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
1 to 2 years of related experience.
A Ph.D. in a related field of work.
A background in Pavement Engineering and Accelerated Pavement Testing.
