Position Summary: The position’s primary function is directing the City’s Public Infrastructure Engineering (PIE) and Land Surveying sections. Duties are performed with considerable independence and discretion, requiring the exercise of extensive judgment and initiative in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include development and management of the transportation?related Capital Improvement Plan, contracts and agreements with the public, as well as interacting with neighborhood groups, businesses, county, state and federal officials, and various consultants. Work is performed under general supervision of the Assistant General Manager of Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure Department. Minimum Training & Experience Possession of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field and five years of professional and administrative experience that includes public infrastructure planning, design, and construction or experience in a closely related field. Two years of the required experience must be in a supervisory capacity. Necessary Special Requirements Must possess State registration as a Professional Engineer at the time of application. Must attain Professional Engineer registration in the State of Florida within one year of employment. Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment. |
Additional Salary Information: Hiring rate generally will not exceed $59.66/hour (excellent benefits)
