Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science
Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science (Ref.: 498732), to commence on January 1, 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
The Department of Computer Science enjoys the reputation of providing high-quality education and conducting top-notch research. It offers programmes at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and has excellent computing resources and supporting facilities for teaching and research. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a strong commitment to research and teaching. A solid track record in research is essential. The position is open to all research areas in Computer Science, with preference given to candidates in the field of artificial intelligence and its subareas pertaining machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing and robotics, and a strong interest in applying AI to dental applications. The appointee is expected to participate in the joint research centre with the Faculty of Dentistry on Clinical Artificial Intelligence.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
