Scope: This is a mid-level position that has primary responsibility for providing administrative support for office operations and the membership program. This position works collaboratively with members, chapter leadership, and national staff in support of the organization’s membership mission.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Membership Services
Primary administrator of association membership database and portal.
Responds to phone and email inquiries on member benefits program, database login assistance, dues payments, meeting registrations and reports, and contact information.
Runs membership reports for staff and chapter Executive Directors.
Develops and maintain outreach to new member companies to ensure consistent engagement with NUCA programs and activities.
Assists in creating and updating membership and marketing materials.
Manages online career services website.
Organizes and maintains NUCA online store and safety program.
Serves as the primary staff coordinator for annual scholarship program.
Provides administrative support to Safety and Damage Prevention programs.
Assists with meeting logistics of various association meetings.
Front line to visitors and directs all incoming inquires.
Sorts and distributes all mail and packages.
Deposits checks and prepares for Accounting Assistant.
Maintains clean common areas and manages monthly office cleaning vendor.
Maintains office equipment.
Other Responsibilities as assigned.
Background requirements: Preferred 3-5 years of customer service, a minimum of 5 years database experience in associations or non-profit organizations.
Experience with association software, proficient in MS Office Suite. Must be able to effectively write reports and business correspondence. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with association vendors and members. Demonstrated good judgement and solution-focused decision making skills. Accepts direction and must possess a positive and proactive attitude along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter, who is proactive and has a strong work ethic and can-do attitude. Attention to detail and be able to work cooperatively in a small, team environment. Available to travel (anticipate on or two trips annually).
