The role of Senior Lecturer in Strategy makes an outstanding contribution to the School of Management by enhancing leadership capability in teaching, research and professional activities. Contributing in the development and teaching of high-quality undergraduate, postgraduate (including MBA), online programs and executive education offerings, this position will provide specific expertise and focus in Strategy and Services Management disciplines. A strong contribution to high quality research, securing research funding, and supervision of research students is also expected.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate is required to demonstrate extensive teaching, program development and research experience with discipline expertise in Strategic Management relating to strategy, strategic operations management and/or professional and services management streams. Experience working collaboratively with business, industry, government and the management professions to support research and teaching outcomes will be important.
Industry experience gained from service operations or professional services management in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, events management, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, health or defense will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have:
A completed doctorate in Strategic Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to undertake research and publish in high quality, high impact journals.
Demonstrated experience in, or potential for, generation of funding from industry and external funding bodies.
Evidence of commitment to high quality, flexible teaching, in both traditional and contemporary modes of delivery, including the use of teaching technology.
Capacity for academic leadership in the development, management and delivery of programs and courses and evidence of teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and postgraduate (including MBA) level as well as online and executive education offerings.
Commitment and demonstrated ability to professional and personal development.
Capacity and commitment to supervise Master’s and PhD students.
Cultural sensitivity and an international perspective, and possession of the Core Behavioural Attributes.
