We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Engineer in the growing Transportation Department of our Mount Laurel, NJ office. The successful candidate will provide traffic analysis, traffic signal and highway/intersection lighting design capabilities, and assistance with highway design efforts for the Transportation group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in the design of traffic signals and intersection and highway lighting systems.
Perform intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software and prepare traffic impact studies.
Assist in the review of traffic impact studies and site plans.
Provide support to local and regional offices within the company.
Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
Five years minimum experience in traffic analysis, traffic signal design, lighting analysis and design, signing and striping design.
Experience with NJDOT Standards and Traffic Signal/Electrical CADD plans.
Knowledge of MUTCD Standards and ITE Trip Generation and Parking Generation procedures.
Proficient in Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS 2010, Visual Lighting software.
MicroStation V8i experience.
Ability to create a professional deliverables using client standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EIT certification required, PE license/PTOE certification a plus.
