Under the supervision of the City Engineer, the employee occupying this position manages Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for the Public Works Department. Plan and conduct complex and large scale engineering studies and projects with a transportation emphasis; coordinate and direct outside engineering consultants and contractors on assigned projects and studies; represent the City on large-scale projects and complex engineering reviews, and provide direct supervision to Civil Engineers and other assigned engineering personnel.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field • Five years of progressively responsible public works engineering experience • Professional Engineer License (PE). If licensed in another State, must obtain a Washington State PE license within six (6) months. • A combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
