Bear Valley Community Services District seeks a talented Public Works Director, who will be given considerable opportunity to leave a lasting impact upon this exclusive, gated, community whose membership has included professional athletes, actors, and even a former United States President. Much work lies ahead as the District emerges from a period of deferred maintenance into one with exciting infrastructure projects and challenges. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Public Works Director plans, manages, oversees, and directs the operations and services of the Public Works Department that includes water, wastewater, roads, flood control/drainage, general services, solid waste, fleet management, and facilities maintenance.
Requires the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of broad, complex, and extensive experience in municipal government or other public sector, with at least 3 years in an administrative, management, or supervisorial capacity.
