Requirements: Associate degree in fire Technology or equivalent experience At least 4 years’ experience in servicing Fire sprinkler systems /Fire alarm systems electrical/mechanical systems in the Fire Alarm or Special Hazard fire suppression industry. Experience reading blue prints preferred. NICET level II or III(Water Based Systems Layout /Fire Alarm / Special Hazard) certification required. General PC skills including manufacturer supplied programming software Good communication and organization skills
Preferred: Technical Review: Scope Technical fire services including creating and maintaining a fire prevention program, assist in creating and overseeing fire system equipment repair projects, providing input on life safety facility, fire alarm monitoring and providing performance input and fire monitoring off -post fire inspection programs and providing technical fire expertise issues Contractor shall provide review of military construction projects, facility modernization rehabilitation and repair projects to ensure that construction contain fire protection and life safety features required by Unified Facility Criteria (UFC 3-600-01 and applicable NFPA codes. Technical design review will not include hydraulic calculations, occupant load/exit calculations etc. but will ensure features are present and local emergency response element are incorporated. Contractor shall provide technical review of fire alarm monitoring signals and reporting Contractor shall evaluate programs referenced and develop recommendations to inform decision makers on suggested implementation for continual change Technical Support: Contractor shall provide technical support and analysis on fire protection system inspections conducted throughout the assigned AOR (six state area). Contractor shall monitor and track the status of fire protection equipment including impairments. Contractor shall provide technical specifications and estimates in proper planning and executing a fire protection system equipment inspection, maintenance and testing using existing software program required to assure fire protection equipment readiness in emergency. Prepare summary and trend reports to decision makers for repair and/ or replacement of fire Contractor shall provide technical expertise ion fire protection system where needed, including advance trouble shooting of systems and to provide guidance of repairs and replacement. Protection systems. Implementation plans shall be regularly reviewed and revise as needed Technical Coordination: Contractor shall liaison with Safety Officer Office to provide technical documentation and reporting to facilitate the mission. Contractor shall disseminated fire and life safety information throughout their assigned through a variety of medial and special command events, orientations and workshops Prepare monthly summary and progress reports showing accomplishments, backlogs and present executive summaries of fire safety related issues, deficiencies for review by DPW, District engineer Some of the benefits of this exceptional opportunity are: Perform review of on-site military equipment maintenance and emergency service.
