We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer with a positive, hands-on, collaborative work style to join our Washington, DC office or Durham, NC office. Proven experience should include most of the following project types: healthcare, retail, financial services, office, renovation, civic, college/university, and K-12 education projects.
Little is made up of Architects, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers, Land Planners, Landscape Architects & Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, CAFM & Strategic Planners and Digital Imaging and Animation specialists. We have offices in Charlotte NC, Costa Mesa CA, Durham NC, Orlando FL, Washington DC and Beijing China.
Today, our Engineering Studios are mainly in our Charlotte office, but our goal is to elevate our engineering capabilities and to grow dynamic Engineering Studios in every office of Little.
This position will be our first Structural Engineer in either office, providing a unique leadership opportunity, partnering with the Office President and Structural Engineering Studio Principal to build a structural team in the office.
- Leading strong client relationships;
- Overseeing and performing project work in all phases;
- Providing drawing coordination and technical oversight for project activities with clients, staff, and consultants;
- Performing site observations, reviewing shop drawings and material submittals and other related construction administration tasks;
- Mentoring less experienced staff;
- Participating in project pursuits and/or interviews.
