GS&P is seeking a drainage project engineer with 4-7 years of drainage experience and is a licensed P.E.
Responsibilities: The individual will primarily support the transportation department of our South Division in a technical role performing model development, calibration and reporting for municipal, county, and state clients.
The various modeling includes H&H, watershed, river, BMP, and water quality. Duties include:
Provide coordination of project execution and control on civil transportation projects to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design.
Perform hydrology/hydraulic analysis for the design and construction of transportation, public site work and flood control projects.
The employee will be responsible for drainage design, including, but not limited to the design of storm sewers, culverts, stormwater management facilities and roadside ditches.
Coordinate efforts of assigned design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort. Individual will serve as technical liaison with client on project efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, specializing in Hydrology and Hydraulics.
Minimum of 5 years of highway drainage experience.The applicant will have a professional engineering license in Florida and/or Georgia.
Experience using models such as SWMM, AdlCPR, Pond Pack, HEC-HMS, ASAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS.
The ability to use GIS tools such as ArcGIS is preferred. Proficient in Micro Station
Familiarity with GDOT and/or FDOT drainage design criteria
Permitting experience in Georgia and/or Florida
