Preferred for either level: • Technical experience and administrative oversight for potable water/wastewater projects, including treatment plant projects • Understanding of principles, practices, modern methods, and techniques used in design and operation of collection systems, distribution systems and water/wastewater plants • Knowledgeable of applicable laws and regulatory codes relevant to design, permitting, and operation of collection systems, distribution systems and water/wastewater plants • The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally • Be an effective relationship builder and work within a team concept
Civil Engineer III, Grade 112: Hiring Range: 58,285 – 72,856 • Minimum 5 years’ experience • Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure in the State of NC within 6 months of hire
Civil Engineer II, Grade 110: Hiring Range: 49,061 – 61,326 • Minimum 2 years’ experience • Engineering Intern (EI) certificate
