The Pipeline Supervisor is responsible for directing personnel in the safe, efficient and effective operation of company assets, emphasizing reliability, customer satisfaction and business plan execution for achievement of company goals and objectives. With responsibilities to include:
Ensuring full compliance with the Company's standards, procedures, and practices.
Managing the daily and periodic administrative tasks incidental to operations and maintenance.
Responsible for the management of the personnel assigned to the area for scheduling of the operations activities within the area.
Responsible for the safety and regulatory compliance of the operations and maintenance activities within the area and responds to abnormal operations and maintenance incidents.
Candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations; should have supervisor experience dealing in a diverse and remote work force and in depth knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
May work indoors or outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Advanced degree (B.S./B.A.) in Engineering, Operations Management or Business preferred.
Prior supervisory experience in crude oil pipeline and tank farm operations.
Minimum of 5 years operating experience in crude oil pipeline operations.
Strong management, planning, organizational and leadership skills.
Strong communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interface effectively with regulatory agencies, company contacts, customers and employees.
Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications and in other menu driven programs used by the company.
Understand budgeting and financial processes.
Strong problem solving skills. Ability to resolve operational problems and be able to work with location personnel to resolve the problem.
Knowledge of various laws governing pipelines and processing facilities including but not limited to OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.
Must have ability to work in and effectively supervise and lead in a team environment.
Must possess valid driver's license.
Must live or be willing to relocate to within 1 hour of reporting location.
