BergerABAM is a nationally recognized leader in waterfront design. 50+ staff specializing in waterfront projects based in our Federal Way, WA office. Our waterfront group is rapidly expanding and our diverse team requires additional project managers to support client demand and continued department growth.
Project Manager needed to promote and lead medium to large scale waterfront and marine facilities projects. Position requires experience managing multi-discipline project teams of in-house staff and sub-consultants to plan and subsequently prepare construction documents, reports, and estimates for piers, wharves, dry docks, bulkheads, and shore-side facilities.
This position also requires technical design background in at least one of the following areas: waterfront facility planning and design, condition assessment and repair, seismic assessment/design of piers/bulkheads, fender systems, dredging, cost estimating, technical specifications, procurement specifications, as well as familiarity with ASCE 7, ASCE 61, IBC, and ACI standards and permitting processes (building and environmental). Substantial working knowledge and ability to manage other technical disciplines, including utilities and construction related to heavy-civil/marine projects.
The Project Manager will coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, and organization of engineers and designers to produce project deliverables. The project manager is responsible for all phases of the business development effort ranging from project identification, research, proposal writing, interviews with clients, client development and maintenance.
