We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our team in the Vermont Agency of Transportation Railroad Section. Incumbent will function as a Railroad Bridge Engineer/Inspector in the Rail Bridge Management Program and duties will include bridge engineering and inspection. Incumbent must have bridge engineering experience and an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program. A Class B CDL or the ability to obtain such within the first 4 months of employment is required. Significant in-state travel and fieldwork will be required.
Experience in Bridge Engineering and Inspection is preferred.
Engineering Degree must be from an ABET accredited program.
A Class B Interstate Commercial Drivers License (CDL), or the ability to obtain such within the first 4 months of employment, is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) and five (5) years or more of professional experience in civil engineering, including or supplemented by two years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree in any field of engineering and six (6) years or more of professional civil engineering work, including or supplemented by two years of supervisory experience.
Master’s degree in civil engineering and three (3) years or more of professional experience in civil engineering, including or supplemented by two years of supervisory experience.
