Civil - Environmental, Civil - Water / Wastewater, Civil Engineering
McCrone’s Public Works team has an opening for a civil/environmental engineer. Candidate must have a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, 2 years of water/wastewater design and construction experience is preferred but not required. We are seeking a motivated self-starter to work with us on a wide variety of projects for both municipal and private clients. Typical projects include:
Design of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants
Design of Water Booster Pump Stations and Wastewater Pumping Stations
Design of Water Storage Facilities
Design of On-Site Wastewater Disposal Systems
Preparing Water and Wastewater Feasibility Reports
Work will be based in Annapolis and projects will be throughout Maryland with some work in the surrounding Mid-Atlantic States.
Selected applicant will work on all phases of a project from study, to design, to bidding, and then through construction. Tasks will include report writing; equipment investigation and selection; hydraulic calculations and modeling; generating cost opinions; preparing report graphics; preparing technical specifications; preparing construction drawings in AutoCAD®; coordinating with various subcontractors such as an electrical engineer and/or structural engineer; reviewing shop drawings; answering contractor questions; generating field orders and change orders and communicating with clients, regulatory staff, and funding agency staff.
Selected applicant will prepare permit application for processing by local and state agencies.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Proficiency in AutoCAD® and WaterCAD®
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required
Professional Engineer license preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
