Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Civil/Transportation CAD Designer in our Burlington office.
In this position, you will be responsible to work within our Transportation Infrastructure team preparing design and contract drawings, geometric and grading designs and quantity estimates for municipal roadway and provincial highway projects.
Preparing plan, section, detail and report drawings for preliminary and detail designs
Preparation of geometric, grading and drainage designs using roadway design software
Preparation of signage and pavement marking plans
Quantity calculations and preparation of specifications
Identification of utility conflicts and coordination of utility relocations
Coordinating project drawing and roadway design preparation with project managers, Senior CAD staff and others
Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner
Assure delivery of high quality products
Skills / Qualifications
Civil Technologist or Civil Technician diploma
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and InRoads
Experience with, storm sewer, roadway corridor and grading design is an asset
Strong organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
A willingness to work in a team atmosphere
