East Bay Municipal Utility District is accepting applications for Materials Inspector in the Plant Inspection Section. The most competitive candidates will possess relevant certification and/or training and experience in the inspection of welding, concrete, coatings, radiographic film interpretation and familiarity with ultrasonic, liquid penetrant and magnetic particle testing from organizations including: American Welding Society; American Concrete Institute; American Society of Nondestructive Testing and National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
Minimum Requirements: Completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent; AND four years of experience in the testing or inspection of materials commonly used in water works projects; or quality control inspection in the metal trades or closely related industry. Ideally suited candidates will have applied this experience as a visitor to manufacturing, fabricating and testing facilities as a third party representative or representative of the project’s owner.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally. Possession of or ability to obtain a passport/visa is required.
